University Recognition Overview

Putnam County AICE Progression
The County courses for each grade level in 7th-12th grade are detailed. The County progression is subject to change based upon University of Cambridge, State of Florida, and Florida university admissions guidelines and student assessment data.

Florida Course Code Directory
Credits earned in the Cambridge Program are recognized as advanced, weighted coursework through the State of Florida course code directory. Students leaving the Cambridge Program may transfer credits earned as weighted courses but may need to take additional coursework if the high school program converts from an AICE curriculum option to a standard 24-credit option.


Bright Futures Award
Students who have completed the AICE Diploma curriculum with best composite score of 1290 SAT or 29 ACT and 100 hours of community service will receive the Florida Academic Scholars Award ($103 per semester hour tuition at 4 year colleges) from the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. Students who have completed the Cambridge AICE Diploma curriculum with best composite score of 1170 SAT or 26 ACT and 75 hours of community service will receive the Florida Medallion Scholars Award ($77 per semester hour tuition at 4 year colleges) from the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program.

Cambridge students can qualify for two different high school diplomas. One diploma is issued through the State of Florida under the AICE graduation option when students successfully complete the Putnam County Public Schools Cambridge Program of Study. A second diploma is issued by the University of Cambridge when students successfully earn an AICE diploma via the attached described criteria.

Putnam County Public Schools screens students for the Acceleration Program using multiple data measures that include the  CogAT intellectual assessment.
