Fourth and fifth grade students enjoyed a Book Tasting event during their Media Center specials.
Chef Suzanne Buckles, Media Specialist, greeted the students, who had their reservations checked and their dining parties seated at assigned tables.
“Students were then served the Sunshine State Young Reader books,” Buckles said. “Students enjoyed looking at the covers, reading the excerpts about the books, and writing their reviews in their book menus.”
At the end of the fine dining experience, students were given popcorn treat bags and a “Pop Into a Good Book” bookmark.
“When asked about their dining experience, students said they loved it and could not wait to check out some of the tasty books they sampled,” Buckles said.
