Dr. Melissa A. Coleman,
Putnam County Director of Acceleration Opportunities
Putnam County Public Schools offers many acceleration opportunities for students. Each of our area middle and high schools offers options to challenge students including Honors Programs, Cambridge Programs, AP classes and Dual Enrollment classes. Honors and Cambridge Programs are available at the elementary level as well. The school district is in the process of adding additional programs as needs arise in order to instructionally cater to our students.
Cambridge is Putnam County Public School's program for academically gifted and talented students. The Cambridge Program (also known as AICE) is recognized by the State of Florida as the highest esteemed, most rigorous available public school program for K-12th grade students.
