Bears Learn About Treasure from St. Johns Shipwreck
Browning-Pearce Elementary School students got to experience the Mel Fisher “Pop-Up Maritime Museum” from Key West Friday morning.
Jim Sinclair, maritime archaeologist, and John Browning discussed the St. Johns Bahamas shipwreck treasure and shared photos of its recovery. They also showed actual pieces of the treasure to the students.
Sinclair, who said he was the first archeologist to visit the wreck site of the Titanic, also showed items recovered from that ship.
